My flatemate just arrived from Indonesia & passed me 3 CDs of Indonesian music.
Kinda makes me so into Indonesia music.
Reminds me of my favourite Indonesian singer of all time, Glenn Freadly.
Feeling so nice since 1 of the CDs is Glenn's latest album.
Better check out "the groove" section around here on my blog.
It's Glenn's video with her wife; Dewi Sandra; & it's my mom's favourite.

Just received news that a friend of mine got accepted as an announcer in one of private radio stations in Bandung, Indonesia & it's been her part time job for the last 2 months. I'm happy for her. I always knew that someday she would be back to be an announcer considering she has this very talkative feature. Not to mention that she was quite frustrated of not having permission from her parents to be a full time announcer since her parents regard it as "insecure" job for her future. She really couldn't resist her desire to go back to be announcer.

What really bugs me a lot after knowing the fact that she's back to "radio" life is that...I miss getting on air myself. I miss making the script...arranging the song-play-list...playing my favourite song when the listener were complaining about my music taste =P

I miss this kind of life I had 2 years ago [DAMN!!! It's been 2 years ago already since my last show in radio!!!].

I miss it...A LOT!!!

Indonesia just got a package of natural disaster...eartquake & tsunami . It was quake-triggered tsunami to be exact...which killed around 327 people & more than 200 people are still missing.

How come tsunami & earthquake are so frequent for Indonesia??

Thousands of terrified residents in this coastal community huddled together in makeshift camps, parents clutching small children, on the crest of nearby hills Tuesday night, fearing a repeat of Monday's tsunami that has now killed more than 500 people and injured hundreds more.

Most villagers said they were taken by surprise when the six-foot wall of water pounded the shore, leveling seaside houses and hotels up to 500 meters inland. Wood and debris blocked roads, while cars and small boats, carried inland by the waves, littered the many coconut groves dotting the shore.

A 7.7 magnitude undersea earthquake at about 3 p.m. Monday set off the tsunami, but most residents said they barely felt the quake and only realized the danger after the ocean began to quickly recede - a sign of a coming tsunami.

"The tremors were not strong, so I felt no need to worry," said Mumu, 42, whose 15 tourist cottages were reduced to hollow frames. "But then I heard the screams of the people on the beach and when I looked over the fence the water was rushing toward me."

Pangandaran, a usually vibrant local tourist community, was eerily quiet Tuesday as residents stayed the night at camps further inland. The flicker of flashlights as residents searched the rubble for survivors was the only sign of life along the coastal road that was once lined with popular hotels, cottages, seaside restaurants and cafes.

Ambulances and Indonesian military vehicles raced back and forth from the coast to inland hospitals carrying patients throughout the day Tuesday, while bodies continued to wash up on the beach.

Officials from the Indonesian Social Welfare Ministry made preparations to take rubber speed boats out early Wednesday morning to search for more bodies, which they said they expect to find, indicating the death toll could still increase.
About 40,000 people have abandoned their homes for higher ground, according to Indonesia's disaster coordination unit, making it difficult to tally the numbers of missing, injured or dead.

Residents said the Indonesian military arrived in the area of Pangandaran just hours after the waves struck, clearing roads and transporting villagers to safety.

Local and international aid organizations also began trickling in Tuesday. But many relief groups, which are already working at maximum capacity after a May 27 earthquake near Yogyakarta in Central Java killed 5,700 people and left more than a million homeless, said they planned to wait a few more days to assess the area's need before redistributing their resources from Yogyakarta or from Banda Aceh, where a much larger tsunami killed 170,000

I just back from National Stadium for NDP (National Day Parade) rehearsal for Family Day 2006. NDP is held once a year to celebrate Singapore Independence Day (from Malaysian Federation) on 9 August. But few mass rehearsal always held for different spectators before the "D" day...the one I just had was for the family. The different between the rehearsal & the actual one is only the president presence. Therefore, it's impropered for me to be called "rehearsal". HUEHEHE!!! =D

Every NDP has different theme & this year's theme is "Our Global City, Out Home". The dresscode is "wearing red". I had given up for its ticket since I'm not either Singapore or Permanent Resident who eligible for the ticket. But thanks to Peony, my flatemate, who got 3 tickets from her Singaporean friend!! Yey to that!! I went there with Marlene & Peony.

Me...Marlene...Peony

My journey to get the show started with long walk from MRT station to the venue under the "unbelievably heat" of sun in the afternoon (felt like melting!!!). But it was really worthed!!! The show lasted for about 4 hours till evening & it was soooo cooL!!! I found every element of celebration there...from the big hot-air-balloon with its hanging-acrobatic-dancer, aircraft & helicopter performance, till fireworks!!! What I like the most about this NDP is the evening show...so awesome!!!

I hate being at crossroads when I know nothing about where each of the road is heading to...

The thought that the decision I have to make would be the success factor for my future failure is completely driving me crazy...

Knowing that I could never turn back the time when I realize that the option I chose is not the right one...

Really don't want to say to myself in the future "I should've taken that way"

Really don't want them to say to me in the future "I told you so"

They say I should take this way...
Other people say I better take that way...
Should I take this way or that way??
I don't know....I really don't know...
All I know is I HATE BEING AT CROSSROADS!!!!
I DO REALLY REALLY HATE IT!!!

I do really hate it!!!!
