Still about my country's earthquake. This time around is my company's response to Indonesian earthquake. Really good to know that Hewlett Packard really took an action regarding this tragedy.

My mom sent me sms said there was an earthquake in my city; Semarang; but the other one in other city; Yogyakarta; was much greater. Yogyakarta is just around 2 hours driving from my city. It's very famous for its largest temple; Borobudur; as 1 of the 7 wonders on earth. I never thought that the one in Yogyakarta would turned my country into national grieve. Most of television channels in Singapore are broadcasting this devastated natural disaster in Indonesia. The newpapers has it as the headline as well. I got so many questions about it once I arrived at the office this morning.
After economic breakdown, tsunami, bird flu and erupted volcano...this massive natural disaster is the last thing we've ever wanted. Is it because God start to warn us for neglecting Him?? Is it because we've been exploitating the natural resources unfairly solely for human's greedy sake?? I don't know about it... All I know is this serial misery is really breaking my heart....

BANTUL, Indonesia — Grieving quake survivors on Monday scavenged for food in the debris of their houses, as the world promised millions of dollars in aid, food and medicine to help Indonesia recover from its latest deadly natural disaster.
The death toll from the weekend's 6.3-magnitude earthquake, which has been followed by hundreds of aftershocks, stood at about 4,300, and thousands of injured were still being treated in hospitals overflowing with bloodied patients. Torrential rain that fell late Sunday added to the misery of the approximately 200,000 people displaced, most of whom were living in makeshift shelters constructed from plastic, canvas or even cardboard.
Saturday's quake was the fourth destructive temblor to hit Indonesia in the last 17 months, including the monster that spawned the Dec. 26, 2004, Asian tsunami that killed 230,000 people, most of them in Indonesia. The country also is battling a spiraling human bird flu case load, a spate of terror attacks by Al Qaeda-linked Islamic militants and the threat of eruption from Mount Merapi, just north of the quake zone.
In addition to raising activity at the rumbling volcano, the temblor caused serious damage to the 9th century Prambanan temple, a U.N. world heritage site.
The area affected by Saturday's quake stretched across hundreds of square miles of mostly farming communities to the south of the ancient city of Yogyakarta. Power and telephone service was out across much of the region.
At least 4,332 people were killed, according to command posts in affected areas and local government leader Idham Samawi. The Social Ministry said around 4,600 died, but numbers in several of the hardest hit districts were in dispute.

I felt so bored with my previous blog skin. Hence, I insisted to have a new skin for my blog.
You may call me stupid, but I enjoyed my time in staring at my laptop for long hours for the last 7 days just to mess around with HTML code to get the right template which suit my taste.
Yesterday, I was so ready with my new skin until I had my friend; Ady ; took this nice picture of me with the green light. I felt stupid for using this pic for my new blog skin since I have spent many days to create a blog skin. But I would be a fool for wasting such a nice green picture of me (considering I don’t look good in picture quite often :P )
So…here I am…choosing to be a stupid person by taking the pic for my blog skin. What do you think?? Is it good??
PS : For you who are staying in Singapore this month, you should know where I got the spot for my pic. Can you take a guess?? =)

Remember the last time I told you about my plan in getting new hair style??? Well...it's a accomplished mission now.
Frankly speaking...I wasn't really sure about this style. But came accross in my mind..."I only young once & at the moment I'm not surrounded by my conservative family who will brutally criticize me upfront for the unussual hair colour. It's a life time chance & I won't waste it". Without having second thought, I have it highlighted & it's colour is....RED!!!!
I was so excited in having this new look till I forgot to dye it to the normal colour when I went back to Indonesia few weeks ago. And of course, as predicted, my mom yelled at me..."Tiiissssaaaaaa......that's the most hideous hair colour I've ever seen. Staying in abroad would never justify that kind of style for you. NO MORE THAT KIND OF HAIR COLOUR NEXT TIME. PERIOD. NO DISCUSSION." (You probably wondering how come I had black hair on my pic with my mom on my previous post. It was simply becoz I dyed it since my mom asked me to for family gathering!!!! *sigh*) My brother said..."Did you really have to pay to get that ugly hair style??? You're getting stupier!!!" My dad gave me an unexpected comment with his laughter..."You look like you'd never been in high school. Seems like you didn't have enough goods time when you were teenager." *sigh*
But the most impressive comment came from my dentist. She said..."Waa...Tisa...you look like a peacock!! So colourful". I got speachless. She scored me. She got me knocked out. I know you're laughing at it so loud rite now!!! Damn!!
Good thing that my colleagues never give me such comments. Maybe it's becoz people with highlighted hair are very commonly found in Singapore. Most important thing, I don't get fired for my new hair =P

Never thought that staying in a small flat would give me such a nice view through the window in my room... Mix with the wind in the middle of the night, this 17th floor view always gives me such a peaceful feeling... It's something I don't have in my room in Indonesia...

This weekend is another long weekend due to General Election in Singapore tomorrow on Saturday, 6 May 2006. Hence, all TV channel has been broadcasting election campaign shows & election procedures for the last 2 weeks. That's exactly the same thing for election in Indonesia...though I think it takes more than 2 weeks in Indonesia. The significant difference for the election atmosphere is party's flag. There's no party's flag by the sidewalk like in Indonesia. Those flag more like a trivial ensemble for me, but indeed it makes the road looks colourful nevertheless =)

I'm tied up on the last weekend since an old friend; Riri; is coming over from Bangkok, Thailand. It's always nice to have friend around..especially those who shared nice moments in the past with me. I can't remember exactly when the last time I met her. Guess it was back 3 years ago in Jakarta.
I'm shocked by her shopping plan. She said "I've been in Singapore for sight seeing. Now I'm here only to attend my friend's wedding & SHOPPING!!!" And I even more surprised when we spend only 2 days for many items...from bed sheet, botles of parfume, untill her bofriend's shoes!!! Gee...never thought that she such a sophaholic!!!
What even worse, I got another heart attack when realize that she really has such a creativity sense in posing. Just take a look our pics below & I'm sure you'll understand what I'm saying. Hahaha... =D
